Just like anybody else, athletes and professional trainers want to look their best. Their bodies don’t always behave the way they’d hope. In fact, even athletes can struggle against stubborn deposits of fat that just won’t go away. With all the extra work they put in every day, extra fat often isn’t the problem. Some athletes don’t feel they have enough volume in the butt. They don’t want to slow down and gain more fat, though.
Whenever athletes come into our offices, we have to run the same assessments. If for example, you have high blood pressure, you might need to make some adjustments before surgery. We’ll also look closely at any supplements or medications you’re taking. One of the biggest challenges some of our patients face when talking about butt lifts in Long Island is fat. Do you have enough fat to be transferred to the butt?
A Brazilian butt lift doesn’t rely on implants or fat transplants from other patients. The fat used comes from other areas of your body. This allows doctors to shape areas you struggle with and enhance your butt at the same time. If you have a limited amount of fat to work with, though, it limits the difference you’ll see without implants.
Just like other patients, athletes and personal trainers vary. So each patient is assessed based on their own body type. Then we can make informed recommendations that work for you. When you work with an expert, you could transform your butt and the way you see your body in the mirror.
Can Athletes Get Butt Lifts in Long Island?
It’s natural for patients with thin or athletic builds to worry that they won’t get the results they want. No matter what kind of surgery you’re getting, you should always plan on taking a few weeks off for recovery. You’ll need to take a break from any strenuous exercise to let your body heal. For many patients, this determines when they can do it.
Being skinny doesn’t automatically disqualify you or determine what kind of surgery is best, though. We have to look into many factors such as:
- Troublespots: Have you noticed any areas that seem to stubbornly hold onto fat? Is part of the goal to create an hourglass figure or more defined abs? Not every patient has areas of fat they regularly think about. Even if you haven’t noticed any areas of concern, though, we can discuss your options. For some patients, we have to target several areas to get enough fat. Others are better off using butt implants.
- Expected Size: How big do you expect to go? How much of a difference do you expect to see once the swelling goes down and your butt heals? If you’re expecting a butt like Kim Kardashian, you might run into more trouble. Those who are only looking for modest differences have more options. Always be honest with us when you come in no matter how big or small you want to go. Our job is to give you the best options to get the outcome you want.
- Health Concerns: Being an athlete doesn’t make you immune from health problems. Some concerns are genetic or caused by the stress on your body over an extended time. Depending on what kind of supplements you use, doctors might also ask that you stop taking certain medications. Just like any other patient, we’ll talk to you about any concerns you’re aware of. We also take basic measurements to make sure you’re ready to handle the stress of surgery on the body.
We discuss different surgical options with patients of all sizes and shapes every day. Some patients have more fat to move. Others see less dramatic results. We may also talk to you about gaining some weight or using butt implants instead. Whatever you choose, we’ll work with you to ensure the best results for your money.
